Deciding on a colour scheme for your home is rarely easy or straightforward. Introducing the elements of choice and competing tastes can often lead to friction and detract from, what should be, a pleasurable experience. But, I’m here to change all that and I’m really pleased to be able to support my clients with their home decoration by providing a simple, yet powerful tool – the colour palette.
I’ve thrown open the virtual doors at Carolyn Hammond Art lately and I’m finding that clients value the opportunity to discuss their projects and also the art they are considering purchasing.
In conversation with clients, I’ve realised that many people struggle with colour schemes. For some, it comes naturally, for others it leads to frustration and when considering the opinions of others (family), the whole thing can be fraught. So, in order to help my clients with their projects, I have started producing colour palettes to support and extend their ideas and they are proving to be very popular. The beauty of this approach is that it doesn’t just have to be about rooms and accessories, a colour palette can be produced from just about any scene as the images here demonstrate. So even your favourite holiday snap can contribute to the colour scheme within your home, bringing those feel good vibes into your living space!
There are a number of ways to produce a colour palette for a project, the simplest being that you send me some photographs of the room you are decorating and/or items that inspire or attract you colour wise. We can also include a piece of art, if you are intending to include it as a focal point and want to pull some of the colours out to use in the room (and no, it doesn’t have to be my art – I’m happy to help whatever the origin).
In short anything can be used to act as a source of inspiration for the colour scheme. When you’ve got all this together, I am then able to produce a colour palette for you. It’s as simple as that. No more head scratching, struggling and endless £’s spent on tester pots.
The palette image you will receive (as a minimum) is shown here. You will notice the circles… these can be moved around to find other colours within the image so that the overall scheme can be blended to suit you.
It really is a simple effective extension to a mood board and with this in hand you can visit your local paint store and get the exact colours mixed for you.
Take the guess work out of home decoration.
I’m running a special Spring Offer whereby you can have your very own colour palette produced for just £ 5.00. The offer runs from now until 31st May, 2021 and is available to anyone – no additional purchase is required.
However, if you do shop on my site, I will do one for you free of charge.
